In Their Own Words

NAMI of Darke, Miami and Shelby Counties is dedicated to connecting individuals and families dealing with mental illness to others with lived experience. Individuals and families provide support and encouragement, and help link those struggling to services and resources.

On this page we present three short stories from individuals with varying, personal experiences with mental illness in their families. These people are real, they are local, and they present examples of the kinds of insight and affirmation that comes from joining NAMI.

These videos were made possible by a grant from the HealthPath Foundation of Ohio.
